Treasure Your Love

Love can mean many things. It would include the love between couples, the love within a family, the love between friends, etc. No matter what type of love it is, you should still try your best to treasure it. It is because you would never know when the love might end.

Several months ago, there was an old couple in the US. They encountered traffic accidents and they were sent to the hospital. Throughout the process, the left hand of the old man was held by the right hand of the old woman. Since it was very difficult to separate the hands from these two people, the doctors decided to do the emergency treatment for both of them in the same room. At last, the old man died as he did not give a sign of breathing. The woman remained at a critical condition.

But to the surprise of the medical staff, there was still heartbeat detected on the man. Although he did not breathe, sign of heartbeat was still detected. The doctors were shocked and they started to look for an explanation. They finally realize that it was the old woman’s heartbeat which was transferred to the old man through the hands. The heart of the old man was not functioning anymore but there was a kind of ‘fake’ heartbeat being detected in this way of transfer.

All the doctors and nurses were shocked and sad. They knew that the woman could not be cured as well because of the severe injuries she suffered. Therefore, they could do nothing but to witness the deterioration of the condition of the old woman. Finally, after several hours, the woman died and no further heartbeat was detected.

When the doctors and nurses tried to separate the hands from the couple, they failed. No matter how hard they tried, the hands of the couple remained tightly held and they could not do anything to change it.

At the end, the sons and daughters of the couple decided to let the couple hold each other together.

Love is about being persistent and standing firm in your belief. If you believe that you have found your true love, you should never give up and you should go ahead to love the one whom you love. If you cannot hold your believe tightly, you would never succeed in loving a person.

In family, the love would also be unconditional. Parents would care for the well-being of their kids and kids would usually ignore the contribution of their parents when they grow up. This would be something that people can find in recent decades because of the changing mindset of people in the world. But this change is never a good one. Although the story from the old couple would not be about family love, such a love should be extended from merely love between couples to love to your families. If you love your family firmly, you would also try to hold them tight no matter what happens.
